Al planted 32 warm-season cover crop plots in early June. The plots include a variety of warm-season mixes and single species cover crops from Green Cover, Choice Ag, Scout Seed, and Mixon Seed.

This is a great opportunity to experience different cover crop species before trying them on your farm. It's the largest variety of warm season cover crops we're aware of in North Carolina!

Al planted cool-season cover crops in the plots last fall and plans to continue rotating different cover crop species to take biomass samples and measure the impacts on soil health. These plots are a great resource for everyone to learn from!
